Our Mothers' Gardens: Season 3 Live Recording

Join Our Mothers’ Gardens for a (virtual) live recording to kick off Season 3. In this special episode we will be in the garden with Jeannine Cook.

Jeannine Cook is a proud educator, mother, and the owner of Harriett’s Bookshop (and the upcoming Ida’s Bookshop). Harriett’s is names for the historical heroine Harriet Tubman, and their mission is to celebrate women authors, women artists and women activists.

Jeannine holds a Master’s degree from The University of the Arts and is also a Leeway Art & Transformation grantee and winner of the South Philly Review Difference Maker Award. Her work has been recognized by several news outlets including the New York Times, CNN, Ebony, BET, Barcroft TV and the Daily Mail.

After registering for the live recording, you will receive a Zoom link one week prior to the event, and have the opportunity to listen as host, Satya Nelms, guides a conversation through Jeannine’s experience of mothering and being mothered.

Camp Lemonade

Camp Lemonade is a virtual retreat for the collective care and healing of Black women.

Campers will be led by writer and community builder Satya Nelms, yogi and healer Victoria Moody and artist and educator, Caryn McCarthy in activities meant to affirm and nurture.

The retreat will take place via Zoom and the schedule is as follows (all times are EST)

1:00-1:15pm Welcome

1:20-1:50pm Crafting with Caryn

1:55-2:25 Journaling with Satya

2:30-3:15pm Yoga with Victoria

3:20-3:30pm Closing

Campers will receive a welcome message from their counselors and a Zoom link for the retreat 3 days before Camp.

Camp registration is tiered to make it more accessible. The tiers are $15, $30 and $45. The actual cost of the retreat is $30. The $45 tier is meant to offset the $15 tier. Please select the tier that is most comfortable for you.*

20% of all proceeds from Camp Lemonade will be donated to The Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund which provides therapy support to Black women and girls across the country.

*Please note that this is subject to availability. In order to maintain a level of intimacy during Camp, we have decided to have no more than 30 campers (10 in each tier).

Our Mothers' Gardens: Live Recording

Join Our Mothers’ Gardens for our first (virtual) live recording. In this special episode we will be in the garden with Adrienne Oliver.

Adrienne Oliver is an intuituve provocateur, expert daydreamer, and devoted mother. Her work is about surrendering ourselves to authenticity, justice, creativity, beauty and expansion. Through her unique journey, she has carved out space as a multidisciplinary creator and leader. She consults, coaches, leads, teaches, speaks, writes, facilitates, curates, guides and shepherds.

Registered participants will receive a Zoom link one week prior to the event, and have the opportunity to listen as host, Satya Nelms, guides a conversation through Adrienne’s experience of mothering and being mothered. Participants will also be able to share their own reflections prompted by the conversation.
